مقطع میں حالی خود کو چھیڑتے ہیں: اے حالی، اب تم نغمے اور شراب کی رونق ڈھونڈتے ہو؟ تم صبح کے وقت آئے ہو جب محفل ختم ہو چکی، رات بھر کہاں رہے؟ یہ گزری ہوئی جوانی کا نرم سا سبق ہے کہ بعض چیزوں کا وقت گزر جاتا ہے اور دیر سے پہنچنے والا انھیں کھو دیتا ہے۔
