یہ شعر بہادر شاہ ظفر کا ہے، ان کی غزل «دہن تنگ جو یاد آیا مجھے» سے، کلیاتِ ظفر (1918)، ص 14۔This couplet is by Bahadur Shah Zafar, from the ghazal “dahan-e-tang jo yaad aayaa mujhe”, Kulliyat-e-Zafar (the four diwans) (1918), p. 14. It means: You did not come even after hearing my cry; at the moment of crying out, my last breath reached my lips.
