آسان تشریح
اے فرہاد، عشق میں آخری تیشے کے سوا کچھ تیرے کام نہ آیا۔ فارسی قصے میں فرہاد نے شیریں کے لیے پہاڑ کاٹ کر نہر نکالی؛ جب اسے جھوٹی خبر ملی کہ شیریں مر گئی تو اس نے اپنا تیشہ اپنے سر پر مار لیا۔ ظفر کہتے ہیں ساری محنت بے کار گئی؛ صرف موت نے اس کا درد ختم کیا۔
In plain English
O Farhad, in love nothing served you in the end except that last blow of the axe. In the Persian tale Farhad cut a channel through a mountain to win Shirin; when told falsely that she had died, he struck himself with his axe. Zafar says all that labour gained nothing; only death ended his pain.
