یہ شعر علامہ محمد اقبال کا ہے، ان کی نظم «ایک آرزو» سے، بانگ درا (اشاعت دوم) (1926)، ص 36۔This couplet is by Allama Muhammad Iqbal, from the nazm “ek aarzoo”, Bang-e-Dra (second printing) (1926), p. 36. It means: When travellers on the road at night grow tired, let my humble broken lamp be their hope. Even in solitude the poet wants to be of use to others.
