مر کر بھی ہم بدنام ہوئے، تو کیوں نہ دریا میں ڈوب گئے؟ اس طرح نہ جنازہ اٹھتا نہ کوئی قبر بنتی جس سے لوگ ہماری داستان یاد کرتے۔ شاعر کہتا ہے کہ عشق کی رسوائی مرنے کے بعد بھی ساتھ رہی۔
