داغِ دل گر نظر نہیں آتا — مرزا غالب

یہ شعر مرزا غالب کا ہے، ان کی غزل «کوئی امید بر نہیں آتی» سے، دیوانِ غالب (اردو)، نسخۂ برلن (1925)، ص 148۔This couplet is by Mirza Ghalib, from the ghazal “koi ummeed bar nahin aati”, Divan-e-Ghalib (Urdu), the Berlin edition (1925), p. 148. It means: O healer, even if you cannot see the burn on my heart, can you not smell it burning? The lover's pain should be obvious to anyone who cares to notice.
