میرا سینہ ایک چھپے ہوئے راز کی وجہ سے آگ کا گھر بنا ہوا ہے۔ افسوس، اگر یہ راز کبھی ظاہر ہو گیا! چھپی ہوئی محبت اندر جل رہی ہے، باہر آئی تو سب کچھ جلا دے گی۔

یہ شعر مرزا غالب کا ہے، ان کی غزل «جس بزم میں تو ناز سے گفتار میں آوے» سے، دیوانِ غالب (اردو)، نسخۂ برلن (1925)، ص 168۔This couplet is by Mirza Ghalib, from the ghazal “jis bazm mein tu naaz se guftaar mein aave”, Divan-e-Ghalib (Urdu), the Berlin edition (1925), p. 168.
