یہ شعر مرزا غالب کا ہے، ان کی غزل «گر نہ اندوہِ شبِ فرقت بیاں ہو جائے گا» سے، دیوانِ غالب (اردو)، نسخۂ برلن (1925)، ص 26۔This couplet is by Mirza Ghalib, from the ghazal “gar na andoh-e-shab-e-furqat bayaan ho jaayega”, Divan-e-Ghalib (Urdu), the Berlin edition (1925), p. 26. It means: Alas, what if justice between you and me is not done even on the Day of Judgement? Until now I have lived on the hope that it would be settled there.
