جان تم پر نثار کرتا ہوں — مرزا غالب

یہ شعر مرزا غالب کا ہے، ان کی غزل «دلِ ناداں تجھے ہوا کیا ہے» سے، دیوانِ غالب (اردو)، نسخۂ برلن (1925)، ص 150۔This couplet is by Mirza Ghalib, from the ghazal “dil-e-naadaan tujhe hua kya hai”, Divan-e-Ghalib (Urdu), the Berlin edition (1925), p. 150. It means: I give my life for you; I do not know what a mere blessing is. Others might bless the beloved with words, but the lover offers his whole life.
