اے درد، میرے دل کی نظر کس پر پڑ گئی ہے کہ جدھر دیکھتا ہوں وہی سامنے ہوتا ہے؟ جب دل نے محبوب حقیقی کو دیکھ لیا تو اب ہر طرف وہی نظر آتا ہے۔

یہ شعر خواجہ میر درد کا ہے، ان کی غزل «میرا جی ہے جب تک تری جستجو ہے» سے، دیوانِ میر درد (1922)، ص 49۔This couplet is by Khwaja Mir Dard, from the ghazal “mera ji hai jab tak tiri justuju hai”, Diwan-e-Mir Dard (1922), p. 49. It means: Dard, on whom has my heart's gaze fallen? Wherever I look, that same One is in front of me. Once the heart has seen the Beloved, it sees Him everywhere.
