In plain English
How could we ever have the power to write down Your qualities? Truly, You are the Lord of the Tablet and the Pen. This opening hamd (praise of God) says that the One who owns all writing cannot be described by our writing.

بحرbahrسمندر (the sea)
عرصہarsaمدت، وقت (span of time)
دمdamسانس، لمحہ (a breath, a moment)
In plain English
Dard, my eye did open, like a bubble's, but in this sea it did not last even a breath. A bubble opens on the water and bursts at once: human life in the ocean of existence is just as short.
