غالباً ظفر کا نہیں: یہ شعر سیماب اکبرآبادی کا بتایا جاتا ہے، جنھوں نے 1941 میں اسے خود اپنے پسندیدہ اشعار میں چنا۔
Probably not by Zafar: this couplet is reported as Seemab Akbarabadi's, who chose it himself as a favourite verse in 1941.
ثبوت
یہ شعر عموماً ’لگتا نہیں ہے دل مرا‘ والی غزل کے اندر پڑھا جاتا ہے، جو خود ظفر کے دواوین میں نہیں۔ ڈیلی او کے مطابق یہ رسالہ ’نگار‘ کے آپ بیتی نمبر (جنوری فروری 1941) میں چھپا، جہاں سیماب اکبرآبادی نے اسے اپنے پسندیدہ اشعار میں خود چنا۔ وہ شمارہ ہم نے خود نہیں دیکھا، اس لیے شاعر کا نام ’بتایا جاتا ہے‘ کے ساتھ لکھا ہے۔
This couplet usually circulates inside 'lagta naheen hai dil meraa', which is itself missing from Zafar's divans. DailyO reports that it appeared in the special issue of the journal Nigar on autobiographies (January-February 1941), where Seemab Akbarabadi selected it as one of his own favourite verses. We have not seen that issue ourselves, so we mark the author as reported.
